Crater Names
All large craters (over 20 km in diameter) have been formally assigned names.
Numerous smaller craters (less than 20 km) have also been given names, but many more, almost half of all craters on Venus, remain unnamed.
As of August 1994, names proposed for features on Venus have been approved by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
All known "named" and "unnamed" craters can be found in the crater atlas of this document.
